Duplicate detection, Raindrop.io import, and more

Authors

We've shipped a batch of updates focused on keeping your collection clean and getting your data into Faved more easily. Here's what's new:

Smarter saving without duplicates

Duplicate finder

Saving bookmarks is now more intelligent and reliable. Faved can detect duplicate items as you create them, helping you avoid clutter before it happens. Improved metadata handling also makes saved content more consistent and dependable.

Import from Raindrop.io

If you're switching from Raindrop.io, bringing your data into Faved is now easier than ever. You can import bookmarks along with their tags, with improved speed and reliability, so your existing structure stays intact and ready to use right away.

Shareable, stateful URLs

Your workspace is now easier to share and revisit. Pagination, sorting, search queries, and selected tags are all preserved in the URL, which means you can return to exactly the same view later or send it to someone else without losing context.

Persistent bookmark images

Bookmark images are now stored locally, so they remain available and load quickly over time. No more broken or disappearing thumbnails when a source site changes or removes its images — your saved content stays visually intact.

Polished editing experience

Editing and managing items has been refined throughout the app. There's now a dedicated button for opening the edit modal, tag selection is smoother and more intuitive, and form performance has been optimized so everything feels faster and more responsive. Even small touches like the success screen after saving via bookmarklet make the experience clearer and more satisfying.

🔄 How to Update

If you're on the cloud version, good news — you're already up to date! These features are live in your account automatically, no action needed.
